The Producer

From the day he could coordinate his hands Dinesh Ekanayake was banging on tin cans and making music. Today he is a multi-instrumentalist – playing the bass, drums, keyboards and guitar. It came as no surprise that his musical interests would lead him to explore the art of audio engineering.

Dinesh has a unique way of inspiring musicians and provides them with the confidence to perform at their best. Behind the closed doors of the recording studio, his talents truly shine. Together with the client, Dinesh explores all the shades and tones that a particular song can express. His approach to recording and producing is about getting things right at the source: “I don’t believe in excessive use of software to ‘clean-up’ a bad recording. It’s about capturing near perfect instruments and vocals, and using software to optimise these positive qualities.”
