Fusive – The Band
Members of our committee discovered Fusive performing at Bar:30 in Parramatta in October this year and quickly agreed that they had the potential to play at our annual staff christmas function.
Fusive performed for us on 16th December for over 400 people at Lady Mary’s Pavilion at Curzon Hall. Their overall talent and the performance on the evening showcased all the members of the band beautifully. Fusive is an extremely talented group who adapted to the requirements of the evening by initially palying for a relaxed audience and then after dinner livening things up to a packed dance floor to finish off another successful function.
We will definitely consider Fusive for our future functions.

We got Fusive involved for the first time for our Nalanda Dinner Dance on 12th November 2011. I was the MC, so I met up with Dinesh and Shivani with my other Nalandian buddy Waruna, a week earlier, to go through the schedule. Although I have been to their gigs before never really met them. From the moment we met, they made us feel very assuring. We told them the type of crowd we expect and the kind of music they might like. Obviously one can never guarantee how the crowds going to react but Dinesh and Shivani seemed confident.
On Saturday night as usual the guests started to arrive a little later than we expected so before even we started the dance we were making changes to the schedule. Dinesh had no issues discussing with me of any suggestions I made, and they were very accommodating. They really got the crowd’s attention from the first song. It was a such a blast every set they played we had the guests pouring on to the dance floor. Very quickly into the night we were convinced this is the band we have been looking for. Fusive displayed an outstanding performance on the night and everyone I spoke to were really happy. They are really talented, committed and their professionalism is second to none. It was a real pleasure dealing with Fusive (Dinesh and Shivani in particular) and we wish all the guys very best of luck for their music careers. Looking forward to having them on-board again for our future functions.

We discovered Fusive performing at Mars Hill Cafe in Parramatta and could see that they had the potential to adapt and fit into play at our hotel lobby bar, BAR:30.
Fusive performed for us on 2nd September and showcased their soulful sounds beautifully. An extremely talented group who can play to a relaxed audience or liven it up if needed.
We have them performing again on 21st October and then the 25th November, so we are clearly happy with their sound and professionalism.
Thanks and see you soon,

We were lucky enough to have Fusive play at our wedding a few weeks ago. We both couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
They made the whole night so special for the both of us and everyone who attended. We still have family and friends who tell us how great the band was on the night.
They took the time to find out about our likes and dislikes musically and played all our favourite songs throughout the night.
They were flexible and professional leading up to and during the event and I would highly recommend Fusive for anyone thinking of having a band for their wedding. There is nothing like great live music to make a wedding memorable!

The Sydney Sri Lankan Students Association organised the “Rhythm of Winter” fundraising Dinner Dance in August 2009, which Fusive supported wholeheartedly from the day the event was initiated.
It was great to work with Fusive as they were always willing to share their experiences, which our committee members still admire. Our organisation has only formed recently and this was our second large event. Fusive’s flexibility and experience in organising such an event was a key factor for the success of “Rhythm of Winter”. After the event we received great feedback about Fusive and their entertaining live performance.
In my opinion, Fusive is the best Sri Lankan band in Sydney as they are not only talented musicians but well organised and supportive of their clients. As far as their music is concerned, they have the ability to attract a wide variety of people and always produce music that the audience desires. They have exceptional variety in their music and therefore, Fusive gigs are highly successful and very impressive. They always contribute 100% to the event – not only providing music but also helping organisers in areas such as advertising and marketing, to name a few. Commitment and helpfulness have been key ingredients to Fusive’s success. They are also highly creative and innovative in their thinking!
If I had to choose a band for our next event I would definitely select Fusive again and I am happy to recommend Fusive to anyone without hesitation. It has always been great to work with them!
I wish Fusive all the best in everything they do and I’m sure they will continue their good work in the years to come!

April 2010 and working with ‘FUSIVE‘ was a completely new experience for me.
I was apprehensive at first since they were a relatively new musical outfit and I was uncertain as to the sound they would produce. I was absolutely surprised and very comfortable as they had done their homework well and I had very little ‘fine tuning’ to do – really!
The sound they produced only endorsed their name.
It was a pleasure working with them in Sydney and Melbourne and if I had to do so again – I most definitely will – absolutely no doubts about that.
I wish them good luck and success in abundance. Way to go ‘FUSIVE!’
Love ya

I suppose three most important issues in a dinner-dance are the venue, food and the music. It is much easier to select the venue and the food, as you can see the venue and taste the food beforehand. So you know exactly what you get on the day. But it is different with music. You can hear them playing beforehand, but what matters is how good they play on the day. Success of a band very much depends on the correct selection of the songs/music to suit the audience, presentation, sound balancing, and most importantly the ability of the band to get the people to the floor and enjoy themselves. To make a dance a memorable evening all these things should come together. That’s where you can gauge how good the band is.
Annual Winter Ball organised by the Sri Lanka Association of NSW is the premium event for the year, and everything is expected to be perfect. So it was a fastidious task for me, as the President of the association in 2008, to select the best band for the occasion and suggest them to the association committee. I had spoken to a few bands, but a band called “Fusive” was the most impressive out of them all. I decided to invite the band organisers to my place to discuss about the possibility of playing for the Winter Ball 2008. After the first meeting I had with Dinesh and Shivani, I was fully convinced that they were the type of the band we were looking for. They were obviously very accomplished musicians, young and vibrant, but still were completely flexible to accommodate all our requests. So the association decided to invite “Fusive” to play for the Winter Ball-2008.
“Fusive” made it a fantastic and enjoyable evening. It was a phenomenal performance, perfect in every way. They were all brilliant. I have received numerous gushing compliments and so much positive feedback. They delivered a superb night of entertainment and made the event such a memorable one for all. We were absolutely delighted with what they put together. The music was perfectly tailored to the audience and it was riveting, refreshing, and unique.
I have no hesitation in recommending “Fusive” as a superb band for any occasion.

Fusive provided a great atmosphere for our wedding reception. They were amazing at being able to perform a wide variety of songs from Hindi, English & Singhalese to keep all the guests entertained. They were extremely professional and were very warm and friendly during the whole process. We received so many positive comments from our guests afterwards and they definitely made the night memorable. Fusive DJ Crew
DJs Dinesh and Shivani from Fusive DJ Crew provided us with music and entertained our guests a recent get-together at Spoons restaurant in Blacktown. They understood the mood of the crowd throughout the night and entertained them in such a manner that the crowd wanted to dance until dawn.

Recording with Dinesh was an absolute breeze. He’s professional, fun, easy going and great at what he does. Dinesh has a great range of equipment and techniques at his disposal, and he’s able to use these in the manner he best sees fit, without getting in the way of the song. He’s keen to provide feedback and share his knowledge about sound recording throughout the process, allowing us to learn as well. The icing on the cake was his impeccable ear for detail! We were thrilled with the efficiency and practicality of the session. We will definitely be back for more recording.

That’s how the journey began and will continue to be. Two different loves for the music but it seems that fusing the two passions is indeed a beautiful thing… Dinesh has placed his brick in the pathway that will continue to bridge the gap between differences that culturally connect us all to become “All Relativf” and for the music to speak for itself …
Best line I was told and will pass on in this music biz, “ Be Patient”, it has done wonders for me and kept me humble at all times……One Love

Through his busy schedule Dinesh has managed to find time to help complete our journey in the music industry. He has been professional and very easy to deal with. The relationship he has built with the artist Dzcyple LAST who I represent has been priceless. The different genres of music both Dzcyple and Dinesh represent are different yet very much the same as the passion for music is what drives their minds to make all of this music business seem ‘All Relativf’!”

Working with Dinesh Ekanayake of Fusive Recording Studio was a rewarding & worthwhile experience for both Kay & I. Dinesh allows an atmosphere conducive to what I, as an artist, need – a place where I can be myself and feel. Inspired by a friend’s love for her child, our song “ALL HE NEEDS” is a song very close to our hearts.
We very much appreciated Dinesh’s patience, understanding and reassuring approach throughout the entire process. Thank you so much Fusive Recording Studio – our song has reached many hearts.
